Rock said he and Cena are two of the most polarizing figures, but he wants them to team together at the Survivor Series. “Could it be done? Should it be done? For one epic encounter?” he said. He said Cena represents an era and a generation, and so does Rock. “A week ago you asked The Rock to be your tag team partner. You said it from the heart. I saw it and I felt it. Well, here’s The Rock’s answer back to you, from the heart. Hell no. Hell no. Hell no.” He called out Cena for knocking on his door for years, then reacting with shock when he opened it. He said for them to be a tag team, they have to tag each other’s hands. Rock said he’d just as soon slap the lips right off of his face. He said he wants Team Bring It to team up with him and the Fruit Loop Troop, but the answer is hell no.
The Rock said he then began to think about it and read millions of Tweets coming across his Twitter begging him to do it for one night. The Rock said one reason hooked him, and that was the fact that he and his Team Bring It despises Miz and The Truth. He said it’s not about what he and Cena want, it’s what the people want. He said in that space on that night, he’ll team with him. “Your wish just came true,” he said. “For one night, you and The Rock will be a tag team.”
Rock then told all of the little Cena fans running around their parents’ houses to settle down their excitement. He said he will team with Cena also to show him what he’s capable of and what will happen to him at WrestleMania next year. “Rock, John Cena, Survivor Series, never before, never again… if you smell what The Rock is cooking.
Mark Henry vs CM Punk
If Punk wins, he gets a WWE Championship Match at Survivor Series
Mark Henry beat CM Punk via DQ. when Alberto Del Rio ordered Ricardo Rodriguez to attack Henry for the DQ. He hit Henry with his shoe until the ref called for the DQ. Punk loses it and went after Del Rio and Rodriguez. Alberto Del Rio ran away so Punk grabbed Rodriguez and threw him to Henry for the world’s strongest slam.
Kermit and Miss Piggy appeared on the stage for the first of many Muppets segments tonight. They were interrupted by Vickie Guerrero and Jack Swagger. Swagger threatened to make frog legs and a ham sandwich out of them. Kermit said he didn’t want trouble with Swagger or his mother. Vickie Guerrero got mad and this led to an argument with Miss Piggy. Santino told Swagger that Mr. Laryngitis has booked them against each other. Swagger listed his credentials and said he has nothing to worry about. Santino said Dolph Ziggler will be busy because he has a match against Zach Ryder tonight. Kermit and Piggy said “Woo Woo Woo, You Know It.” Kelly Kelly then kissed Kermit on her way to the ring and Miss Piggy freaked out.
Divas Halloween Costume Battle Royal
(Eve Torres, Rosa Mendes, AJ, Kaitlyn, Kelly Kelly, Alicia Fox, The Bella Twins, Natalya, Aksana and Tamina)
Eve Torres won a costume battle royal. Costumes used to be an excuse to get the women in risqué costumes but now they wear more clothes than usual. Rosa Mendes, Aksana, AJ, Tamina and Kaitlyn went out quickly. Kelly Kelly and Eve eliminated the Bella twins.
This left Natalya, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly and Eve for the final four. Natalya quickly got triple teamed by Alicia, Kelly and Eve but Natalya fought them off and eliminated Kelly and Alicia. Eve threw out Natalya out from behind which got Beth upset and went into the ring with Natalya to attak Eve but Kelly and Alicia came in moments after to make the save.
Another Muppet segment: Bunson and Beaker are in their lab talking about an energy drink and Bunson tells him to take it to Santino, but Beaker runs into Christian. He gets annoyed that Beaker is in a hurry and takes the drink, then dumps it out after he smells it. Sheamus comes behind him and asks if there is a problem, then Christian leaves as Sheamus talks to Beaker. He says he can’t make the family reunion, then Sheamus spikes up Beaker’s hair and says it looks perfect as he walks off.
Air Boom vs Cody Rhodes and Wade Barret
Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett beat Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. They worked over Kingston, who tagged Bourne. Barrett went for wasteland but Bourne countered with a DDT. Bourne went to the top but Rhodes distracted him and Barrett gave him wasteland for the pin. After the match, Christian came out to help the heels attack the tag champs but Sheamus made the save. They showed Statler and Waldorf watching and bantering in a luxury box.
John Laurinaitis was texting backstage when CM Punk came in. Punk complained about Ricardo Rodriguez. Punk wanted to know what he had to do to get a title match. How about you win a match, buddy? Punk went on and on like he has to jump through hoops to get a title shot. Laurinaitis said Punk could get a title match if Del Rio agreed.
Big Show vs Alberto Del Rio
Big Show beat Alberto Del Rio in a very long, slow and boring match. Del Rio beat on Show forever (as Big Show was selling he had a hurt back from Vengeance getting superplexed off the top rope and the ring breaking). Finally Del Rio went for an enzuigiri and Show just caught him with a punch for the clean win. After the match, CM Punk came out and put Alberto Del Rio in the anaconda vise until Del Rio agreed to the title match.
Fozzie and Gonzo are backstage and talking about how large the Superstars are, and Gonzo says they could even be champion some day. Fozzie backpedals and tells him to be quiet as Vickie, Dolph and Swagger come up behind them and ask if they are serious. Dolph and Swagger grab Gonzo’s arms and stretch them way over his head then tie them in a knot as Fozzie says he likes his arms the way they are. Dolph leans in and tells Gonzo that if any of their friends get involved in their matches later on they will end up like him too. They leave and Fozzie checks on Gonzo, but he sounds delighted and asks how they knew he needed to get an adjustment.
Santino vs Jack Swagger
Santino beat Jack Swagger. Animal from the Muppets rang the bell. Swagger worked over Santino for the majority of the match. Santino made his comeback with a head butt but was caught in the ankle lock. Santino escaped. Beaker gave Santino the potion from earlier. Santino spit it in Swagger’s face and rolled Swagger up for the win.
Zack Ryder vs Dolph Ziggler
Zack Ryder beat Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler worked over Ryder. Ryder hit his running kick but Ziggler kicked out. Ziggler used a jaw breaker but was caught with a knee charging Ryder. The referee seemed to count three but then realized Ziggler’s foot was on the bottom rope and called for the match to continue. Vickie tripped Ryder and Ziggler went for the zig zag but Ryder shrugged him off and hit the rough rider for the win.
They announced HHH was diagnosed with a concussion and fractured vertebrae in the neck, thus he’ll miss at least another five weeks of in-ring action. Lawler then announced that WWE.com broke the story earlier that Laurinaitis, at the request of Triple H, signed Nash to a new contract. Lawler said he will be on Raw next week.
Cole stood on his desk and said the match with J.R. will not happen. He said Ross isn’t there tonight. He said he met with a specialist this weekend and he was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, symptoms of which are ulcers, megatoxic colon, diverticulitis, and gastrointestinal hemorrhaging. He said a real man would suck it up and fight anyway, but Ross isn’t a real man. Cole held up a diaper and said he should have just wrestled in those. He wondered if Ross would wrestle next week. He then laughed and said, “It depends”.
Morrison is backstage with Miss Piggy and he asks what she wanted to talk about, but she asks him to dinner instead. He hesistates and says he is busy, but he has a friend in mind and brings in Hornswoggle. He shows her his tattoo and she says it’s beautiful, then she karate kicks him when he leans in and kisses her. Kermit comes over and checks on him but he holds his stomach and walks off, and Cody Rhodes comes in and puts a paper bag on his head to end the segment. (Poor Kermit)
John Cena vs. The Miz
Main Even of the Show
John Cena beat Miz. Miz settled into a chinlock on Cena, and then Cena chants began again. Cena made a comeback with flying shoulders and then set up You Can’t See Me routine. He hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle and then set up the Attitude Adjustment, but Miz countered and dropped Cena to the mat for a two count. Cena came back with a clothesline for a two count. Cena then hit Miz with a legdrop off the top rope across the back of his neck for a near fall. Miz countered an AA with a DDT for a near fall. Cena backdropped a charging Miz to the floor, then followed him to ringside and threw him into the ringside barricade when R. Truth attacked Cena in a Scream mask. They went back in the ring and Cena just immediately put Miz in the STF anyway for the submission. Truth attacked in the mask afterwards but Cena laid him out too.
Thoughts: It must be good that Cena has Rock coming back to help him against Miz and Truth when he took them out by himself.
